Paul Slaughter, D.O.
Emergency Room Medical Director

Dr. Slaughter is Board Certified in Family Medicine and received his degree from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1979. He came to Andrews from a private practice in Seminole in January, 1999. He serves as the Emergency Room Medical Director.

Permian Regional Medical Center offers emergency services based on community needs.

The Emergency Department is designed as a Level IV Trauma Service Center. PRMC actively participates in the Region J Regional Advisory Council in cooperation with the Texas Department of Health.

The Emergency Department provides 24-hour care and services. The unit consists of 7 beds and 1 triage room.

The Emergency Department is responsible for the immediate treatment of medical and surgical emergencies and for initiating lifesaving procedures. When warranted, transfer arrangements are secured to a higher level of care via ground or air ambulance.

A staff of local and contract physicians provide emergency coverage. Nursing staff is certified in advanced life support, pediatric advanced life support, and trauma care.
