Westbrook Village offers a safe, engaging, and comforting environment for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Opened in 2023, our purpose‑built 22‑bed memory care neighborhood blends modern design with a warm, home‑like atmosphere that supports dignity, independence, and meaningful daily experiences.

A Designated Positive Approach to Care (PAC) Organization

As a recognized Positive Approach to Care (PAC) designated community, Westbrook Village is committed to Teepa Snow’s internationally respected dementia‑care philosophy. Our team receives ongoing PAC training focused on:

• Understanding the changing brain
• Communicating with empathy and connection
• Supporting retained abilities rather than focusing on losses
• Responding to unmet needs with skill and compassion
• Creating moments of success, comfort, and joy

This relationship‑centered approach ensures each resident receives care tailored to their abilities, preferences, and daily rhythms.

• 22 rooms designed for familiarity and ease
• Secure outdoor courtyard  that encourages movement, fresh air, and sensory engagement
• A dedicated dining room that supports calm, structured mealtimes
• Intuitive layout and lighting to reduce confusion and enhance orientation
• A Snoezelen multi‑sensory room, offering gentle lights, calming sounds, and soothing sensory experiences to help residents relax and regulate emotions

Family Support Group

Westbrook Village also offers a Memory Care Support Group led by our Director of Social Services, Rickie O’Neal, LMSW. This group provides education, emotional support, and a welcoming space for families navigating the challenges of dementia care.
